In the dead silence, all the details suddenly fell into place for me with a burst of intuition.

Something Edward didn't want me to know. Something Jacob wouldn't have kept from me...

It was never going to end, was it?

As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob - knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

Eclipse picks up a short time after New Moon ended, and it begins with a new set of problems. New Moon ended with Edward suggesting the idea of marriage and Bella not able to give a real answer, although it is very clear that Jacob is not very happy with Edward being back in Bella's life or in Fork for that matter. Then again, he is not the only one, Charlie doesn't seem happy with the Cullen's sudden reappearance either.

Along with the sudden reappearance of Victoria and a new breed of vampires, Bella also has to deal with graduating high school and deciding what she wants next in her life. If only things would be simple, though given that she is dating a vampire it isn't surprising that any choice she makes would include Edward as well.

Unlike the previous two book, Eclipse has a lot more action and fighting happening, when Victoria decides that she wants to make the Cullen's pay for killing her mate, she decides to take things to the next level. Creating her own army of newborn vampires that are causing havoc all over Seattle. Although, werewolves and vampires do not get along at all, they join forces to protect their town, their secrets and most importantly to protect Bella.

You also get the see the more deeper connection that Bella and Edward have, this book seems to be a big stepping point for their relationship and their future together. Bella must decide whether she wants to stay human or become a vampire, though both of these choices will come at a cost, not just to her but to the people around her as well.

Eclipse has action throughout the book that really drives it to new highs and expands on the connection that Edward and Bella have. With its shocking revelations, humorous quotes and big decisions, you will not be able to put it down.

If I had to sum this book up in three words, they would be Captivating, Gripping and Powerful.
